(Versailles, Ind.) - The Town of Versailles spent the last year working through its first ever Comprehensive Plan through an Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs Planning Grant.
A comprehensive plan is a long-range guide for development and community investment. It determines the vision and goals for the next 10 to 15 years and serves as the basis for land use and zoning regulations.
Over the last year, a steering committee of residents, business owners, and government officials helped guide this process as information was collected from the community via focus groups, public workshops, and a community survey.
A draft plan is available for review and public comment. Some of the key components of the draft plan include land use, economic development, housing, parks and recreation and public facilities and services
Access the plan and share your feedback here Versailles Comprehensive Plan.
The public comment period closes on August 19.
