(Dillsboro, Ind.) – The Town of Dillsboro is welcoming its newest council member.
Charles “Charlie” Baker was sworn in this week by Clerk Treasurer Rita Stevens.
He was appointed to replace former councilman Casey Finnegan after he moved out of the district.
Baker was born and raised in Dillsboro and is a graduate of Dillsboro High School and LaSalle University. His professional career was primarily with Anchor Glass as a quality control and customer service manager.
Additionally, Baker has served as Precinct Committeeman Clay 3, Dillsboro Volunteer Fire CARE Team, a 50-year member of Hopewell Masonic Lodge #82, Indiana Scottish Rite and Shriners of Indiana.
Charlie has been married to his wife, Wanda for 59 years. They have two sons, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
