(West Lafayette, IN) - Kyatalin Baker from Switzerland County is one of twelve Indiana FFA members preparing to serve as an Indiana FFA state officer.
After a week of engagement at next week's 95th Indiana FFA State Convention seven of the twelve individuals will be selected to fill the roles of president, secretary, northern region vice president, southern region vice president, treasurer, reporter, and sentinel.
All the candidates will have a rigorous interview process. This interview and selection process will wrap up on the final day of the convention.
The convention is from June 17 to June 20.
If selected, the newly elected officers will embark on a year of service, providing direction and overseeing the development of the student-led organization.
Some responsibilities include promoting FFA and agriculture and agricultural education. Most of their responsibilities include conducting FFA chapter visits, facilitating leadership conferences, and hosting career and leadership development events.
