Survey: President Trump Remains Popular Among Hoosiers

The president's approval rating has increased since 2017.

(Muncie, Ind.) - A recent survey shows that President Trump remain popular in the State of Indiana.

The annual Old National Bank/Ball State University 2019 Hoosier Survey showed that 52 percent of Hoosiers approve of Trump’s job performance. 40 percent disapproved.

With impeachment hearings scheduled for Wednesday, it doesn't appear Hoosiers want to see President Trump removed from office.

His approval numbers are highly reflected party affiliation with an 86 percent approval rating among Republicans.

Either way, Trump’s approval rating has improved since 2017, when only 41 percent of Hoosiers approved of his performance.

The survey also asked Hoosiers about Democratic presidential candidates. Joe Biden was the most recognizable name among the candidates, followed by Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.

At the state level, approximately 50 percent approved of Governor Eric Holcomb’s performance. Only 17 percent disapproved of the Indiana Governor.
