Sunman Woman Accused of Official Misconduct, Theft

The charges stem from a discrepancy in Sunman Utility Department Funds.

(Sunman, Ind.) - Denise Lunsford has officially been charged with Official Misconduct (Level 6 Felony) and Theft over $750 (Level 6 Felony). 

The charges stem from a discrepancy in Sunman Utility Department Funds. 

According to court documents, Lunsford allegedly took over $5,600 from the town while working as a utility clerk. 

Lunsford, 59, was booked into Ripley County Jail last week. She bonded out for $2,500. 

A jury trial is scheduled for July 21.
