This initiative has been going on yearly since 2019.

(St. Leon, Ind.) - The Sunman-Dearborn School Endowment Corporation is pleased to announce that it will provide free K-5 school supplies for all students in the Sunman-Dearborn Community School Corporation.
This initiative, which began in 2019, will once again ensure that families in the district have one less worry as they prepare for the upcoming school year. Established in 2003, the Sunman-Dearborn School Endowment Corporation has provided over $4 million in grants, supporting a wide range of programs and resources for students, staff, and parents.
The continued funding of school supplies is a testament to the Endowment's dedication to investing in the educational success of every child in the district.
“We are proud to continue this important initiative,” said Dr. Andrew Jackson, Superintendent and member of the Endowment Corporation Board. “By covering the cost of essential school supplies, we aim to support the academic success of every student and ease the financial burden on our families.”
The Endowment Corporation remains committed to fostering a supportive and enriching learning environment for Sunman-Dearborn students, aligning with the district's mission to inspire confidence and success in every student, every day.
