Sunman-Dearborn School Corporation Releases Five-Year Financial Forecast

The forecast shows a very strong financial status and the ability to continue to provide increases in salary and benefits.

(St. Leon, Ind.) – The Sunman-Dearborn Community School Corporation has released their 2022-2026 Five-year Financial Forecast.

The forecast was developed in 2017 to help provide a clearer picture of the financial future of the school corporation.

This forecast contains three years of historical data from 2019 to 2021, followed by five years of projects. With any forecasts, projections can prove to be incorrect due to changes in enrollment, the state budget, or the economy.

According to Superintendent Andrew Jackson, the forecast shows a very strong financial status and the ability to continue to provide increases in both salary and benefits in order to retain and attract highly qualified personnel.

“By approving the Strategic Plan in 2017, the board provided a consistent vision and have since provided consistent support in accomplishing what would appear to be two conflicting goals - to improve our financial status while increasing our pay and benefits for our staff. The financial forecast is evidence of what an organization can accomplish when everyone is working together towards common goals.”
