String of Vehicle Thefts Under Investigation in Ripley Co.

The thefts occurred in and around the Versailles area.

(Versailles, Ind.) – The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office is urging residents to lock their vehicles and secure valuable belongings when unattended.

On the dates of October 7 and 9, the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office received reports of three separate vehicles that were stolen in and around the Versailles area.

One of the vehicles reportedly had a handgun and rifle inside.

In a news release from Chief Deputy Lee Davidson, all the vehicles have been recovered, in addition to the two firearms identified above.

All suspects have been questioned, but no charges have been announced at this time.

The suspects names are being withheld due to the ongoing investigation.
