(Ohio County, Ind.) – A portion of State Road 262 will close next week for bridge work.

The Indiana Department of Transportation says contractor Sunesis Construction plans to close State Road 262 between Hartford Pike and Milton Bear Branch Road beginning on or after Wednesday, September 1.

The road will remain closed through late November for a bridge deck overlay project over Laughery Creek.

A detour will be set up following U.S. 50 and State Road 56.

All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
