UPDATE: State Road 1 Closed At Cook Road Due To Semi Crash

The road will remain closed into the evening hours.

Update published at 5:40 p.m.: 

According to INDOT, State Road 1 will be closed for several more hours as crews work to clear the earlier accident. 

The closure is between Sawdon Ridge Road and North Dearborn Road. 

 

Original story published at 1:56 p.m.:

(Guilford, Ind.) - State Road 1 is closed near Guilford. 

An accident was reported near Cook Road around 12:35 p.m.

A semi reportedly overturned and went down an embankment, stopping approximately 100 feet from the road.

The driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. 

Dearborn County Dispatch says State Road 1 is closed at Cook Road until further notice.
