(Milan, Ind.) – Nothing quite encapsulates "Hoosier Hysteria" like the Milan Indians 1954 State Championship.
Milan's historic win over Muncie Central was once again recognized on Saturday with the placement of a state historical marker near the Milan '54 Hoosiers Basketball Museum.
The Milan ’54 Hoosiers Basketball Museum estimates more than 200 people attended the public dedication ceremony, including members form the '54 state championship team.
The marker, which reads “Milan Miracle” is the 10th historical marker installed in Ripley County.
As seen in the pictures below, the historical marker gives a brief summary of Milan's win over a school that was ten times its size and a four-time state champion.

MHS was well represented at the dedication of the Milan Miracle Historical Marker. It was nice to be a part of honoring these legends and our story. #weRmilan pic.twitter.com/28zdMy05bN
