These two Catholic schools have a rich history and have been providing Christ centered education for many years.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Two area Catholic schools are merging.
St. Mary’s School in Aurora and St. Lawrence School in Lawrenceburg will combine to one campus at St. Lawrence when the 2022-2023 school year starts.
The merger comes out of a desire from both parishes to continue a Christ centered education in the community.
According to a news release on Tuesday, the merger will allow the schools to offer new and expanded opportunities for all students.
The future staff will be made up of teachers and staff from both schools, while St. Mary’s and St. Lawrence will continue on with their current priest, Fr. Ben Syberg.
Over the next year and a half, St. Mary’s families will be integrated into the new, merged school and help students form new relationships.
St. Mary’s School will also be examining all options for future school building use that would serve the local community.
For more information, please contact St. Mary’s School at 812-926-1558 or St. Lawrence at 812-537-3690.
