(Dearborn County, Ind.) – Northern Kentucky-based St. Elizabeth Healthcare is increasing its presence in Dearborn County even before it breaks ground on a new medical building. St. Elizabeth Physicians is the multi-specialty physician organization of St. Elizabeth Healthcare. St. “E” announced in December of 2014 plans for a new medical office building near the intersection of U.S. 50 and the I-275 ramp in Greendale. The first reports said that the opening was originally planned for 2016, but in an announcement on Monday the hospital stated that groundbreaking on the facility is now expected next year. Little if any dirt has been moved so far at the tract of land between Flossie Drive and the interstate ramp. The building will be a multi-specialty physicians center as well as an expanded primary care office for St. Elizabeth’s Hidden Valley physicians. The physicians group is working with development partner Anchor Health Properties in continuing to plan for the scope of the services that will be offered in Greendale. St. Elizabeth Physicians is going ahead in adding three new health professionals in Dearborn County offices.  Two of them will be at the Aurora primary care office on Bridgeway Street. Dr. Aleah Gibson, MD, will begin to see patients in late December. Gibson comes from the Deaconess Health system in Evansville, Indiana with seven years of experience. She is board-certified in family medicine. Dr. Laura Allen, MD, will begin to see patients in mid-January. She is currently with Kings Daughters Health system in Ashland, Kentucky. The 17-year doctor is also board-certified in family medicine. Gibson and Allen will join doctors Marianne Jansen and James Hahn at the Aurora primary care. Physician’s assistant Don McKenzie joined Dr. Cate Brown at Dillsboro primary care located at 12827 Lenover Street. McKenzie has nearly 20 years of experience as a physician assistant and is certified by the Department of Transportation for DOT physicals. He is available to see patients of all ages Mondays through Thursdays. Dr. Brown will continue to see patients on Fridays. “Adding these new providers to our practices provides us with additional opportunities and resources to make healthcare more coordinated, comprehensive and integrated,” says William Reutman, MD, Physician Director of Primary Care North Division. “St. Elizabeth Physicians will continue to provide the same outstanding care our patients deserve and have always received from us.” St. Elizabeth Healthcare will grow its presence in Dearborn County with a new medical office building in Greendale.
