(Versailles, Ind.) - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is scheduled to reduce the speed limit on U.S. 50 in Versailles on or after Tuesday, February 24.

The speed limit will be reduced from 40 mph to 30 mph on U.S. 50 between just west of U.S. 421 and just east of Gaslight Drive.

This reduction is intended to improve safety and establish consistency along U.S. 50 in Versailles.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
