The reduced speed limit is intended to improve safety and reduce crashes along S.R. 129 in Olean.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - The Indiana Department of Transportation is scheduled to reduce the speed limit on State Road 129 on or after Tuesday, July 29, in Olean.
The speed limit will decrease from 45 mph to 35 mph on S.R. 129 from just north of County Road 500 South to just south of East Olean Road. The reduced speed limit is intended to improve safety and reduce crashes along S.R. 129 in Olean.
Advanced speed limit warning signs as well as speed feedback signs will be installed to help emphasize the change.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
