Christmas at Our Local Attractions

Visitors to Aurora can get a taste of “Christmas past” at Hillforest Victorian House Museum, a National Historic Landmark that is all decked out for the season. Then check out Northern Lights at Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg, a large drive-through holiday light display running on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Small Business Saturday

There will also be lots of great activities taking place throughout the day on Saturday, as both Aurora and Lawrenceburg celebrate “Small Business Saturday,” including merchant open houses, special offers, drawings and more.

Tree lightings

Both Aurora and Lawrenceburg will host their annual Christmas tree lightings on Sunday night, December 1. The City of Lawrenceburg will begin with a reception at the Lawrenceburg Event Center beginning at 5:30pm, followed by a special Mayor’s Reception and the City’s official tree lighting at Civic Park. The City of Aurora’s tree lighting will begin at 6pm on Second and Main Streets in the city’s historic downtown, followed by the community’s annual lighted Christmas parade.
