(Vevay, Ind.) - First Financial Bank (Nasdaq: FFBC), local associates and community members completed a successful month-long food drive in Dearborn, Ohio, Ripley and Switzerland Counties, with 374 food items collected locally.

Donated food has been shared with Bridge of Hope, The Clearing House, North Dearborn Food Pantry, Rising Sun Church of Christ Free Store and Incompass Health/Switzerland County Food Pantry for distribution to people in need throughout the community.

“We thank everyone in the community who joined with us during this drive to make a positive impact in the communities we serve,” said Roddell McCullough, chief corporate responsibility officer for First Financial Bank.

This year’s food drive ran from October 6-31 in Southeast Indiana and at all First Financial locations. First Financial accepted nonperishable items in large bins at the bank’s financial centers.

Throughout its Midwestern footprint, First Financial and community members collected more than 9,800 food items, all of which were given to local food pantries and charitable organizations that were identified by First Financial team members for final delivery into the community.

The food drive is the latest of First Financial’s initiatives to create opportunities to help clients and communities thrive. Earlier this year, First Financial also supported a book drive in recognition of financial literacy. Throughout its four-state footprint, more than 5,700 books were donated through the book drive, and later given to local schools, libraries and nonprofit organizations in areas served by the bank.
