South Dearborn HS Grad Named New Principal at Aurora Elementary School

(Aurora, Ind.) – The South Dearborn Community School Corporation has announced the hiring of a new principal for Aurora Elementary School.

Krista Hensley will take over as principal after 21 years as an employee for the South Dearborn Community School Corporation.

For the first 12 years, she was a classroom teacher and has been a Title 1 Teacher for the past nine years.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to be the next principal of Aurora Elementary School. I look forward to working with the teachers, students and parents,” said Hensley.

Hensley is a South Dearborn High School graduate. She received her BS in Elementary Education in 2003 from Thomas More College, Master’s Degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment in 2008 from Walden University and in 2020 completed the Building Level Administrator License Program at Ball State University.
