The position came open when Jeff Bond accepted the principal position at Mitchell High School.

(Aurora, Ind.) – South Dearborn High School has a new principal.
The school corporation announced Friday the hiring of Steve Ohlhaut.
Ohlhaut replaces Jeff Bond, who is moving closer to his hometown to become the principal at Mitchell High School.
Bond served as South Dearborn High School principal for five years.
Ohlhaut is a Dearborn County native. He spent the last 18 years as a teacher and administrator in the West Lafayette Community School Corporation.
“I am honored to be joining the South Dearborn team as Principal beginning the 2022-2023 school year,” said Ohlhaut. “As a native of Dearborn County with deep roots in the area, my wife Deanna and I are thrilled to be returning home to become part of a wonderful community.”
Ohlhaut added that he is excited to become part of the continuous growth of all students, the professional development of staff, the cultivation of community partnership, and continuing the innovations and improvements already underway at South Dearborn.
