Following Governor Holcomb's executive order requiring face masks, SDCSC has updated their plan for students to safely return to school.

(Aurora, Ind.) - With the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year quickly approaching, school corporations are making the final touches to their re-entry plans. This includes the South Dearborn Community School Corporation (SDCSC).
The most notable change includes the face covering requirement for students in grades 3 and up.
Dearborn County Health Department Medical Director Dr. Stephen Eliason, MD approved the changes made to the South Dearborn Community School Corporation Re-entry Plan.
"I have reviewed the latest version of the re-entry plan for South Dearborn community schools. This plan was discussed with me and I was involved in the preparation. I approve the plan as it currently stands and find it to be in line with state recommendations (ISDH) and recommendations from the CDC. As circumstanced change, we will work together to make modifications as the need arises," says Dr. Eliason.
