(Ohio County, Ind.) — The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced a road closure in Ohio County is scheduled to begin next week.
On or after Monday, July 6, State Road 262 will close between Nixon Road and White Road, west of Rising Sun, for a slide repair project.
INDOT contractor GeoStablization International will work to stabilize a 740-foot section of roadway and shoulder located east of Stewart Ridge Road with a soil nail wall.
This closure will last about 90 days, through early October, weather permitting.
The official detour will follow U.S. 50 and S.R. 56 with access to homes within the closure maintained.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, use extra caution and drive distraction-free through all work zones.
