Seven Injured in U.S. 50 Crash Near Three Rivers Local Schools

Two adults, two juveniles, and three young children were transported to area hospitals with varying injuries.

(Cleves, Oh.) – Multiple people were injured in a Wednesday morning crash near the campus of Three Rivers School district.  

First responders were dispatched to the accident at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Cooper Road in Cleves. around 7:30 a.m.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, a 44-year-old female was traveling eastbound on U.S. 50 and attempting to make a left turn when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old female.

The first vehicle was carrying two juvenile occupants, age 13 and 15. The 13-year-old was unrestrained and ejected from the vehicle, sustaining serious injuries. The 13-year-old juvenile was airlifted to Children’s Hospital and is in critical but stable condition. The 15-year-old was also transported to Children’s for examination, while the driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at UC Medical Center.

The second vehicle involved was transporting three small children, all of which were taken to Children’s for evaluation. A status update has not been provided at this time. The 25-year-old driver suffered serious injuries and is being treated at UC Medical Center.

A box truck that was waiting to turn onto U.S. 50 was struck as a result of the two-vehicle crash. The driver of the box truck was uninjured.

The names of those involved were not released.
