Serious Bodily Injury Crash Leads to Arrest

(Ripley County, Ind.) – A Westport man has been arrested following a crash that caused serious bodily injury in Ripley County.

On Thursday night, Ripley County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the area of West Millhousen and County Line Road for a crash involving injuries.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the driver of a motorcycle, who was identified as Trace Harmon, 29, of Westport. The Napoleon Volunteer Fire Department tended to an injured female, identified as Hannah Bradenburg, 22, of Sunman. She was later airlifted to UC Medical Center with

During the course of the investigation, deputies detected the odor of alcohol emitting from Harmon’s person, according to a news release. Harmon allegedly admitted that he had consumed alcohol earlier in the night.

A field sobriety test was conducted and Harmon was transported to Ripley County Jail on preliminary charges of OWI Resulting in Bodily Injury with Prior Conviction (Level 4 Felony), OWI Endangering (Class A Misdemeanor), and OWI (Class C Misdemeanor).
