(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Saturday for the newest mural in downtown Lawrenceburg.
The Southeastern Indiana Musician’s Association will host the ceremony at Lawrenceburg Civic Park starting at 1:00 p.m.
The mural, sponsored by the City of Lawrenceburg with assistance from the Indiana Destination Development Corporation – Indiana Public Art Activation Grant, was created by artist Christian Dallas.
Dallas’ work is a tribute to the Southeastern Indiana Musicians Hall of Fame (SEIMA) and features several local musicians such as Lonnie Mack, Ralph Trotto, Jaime Johnson, Kristen Weber, Nelson Elliot, and Jimmy Thomas.
In a Facebook post this week, SEIMA teased “you never know who may show up for this event.”
Parkside Market will cater a small reception following the ribbon cutting.
