Dr. Ross says there is no truth to an online rumor about the school closing.

(Aurora, Ind.) - South Dearborn Superintendent Ron Ross says the school corporation has no plans of closing Dillsboro Elementary School.
Dr. Ross made the statement Wednesday via Facebook in response to two individuals who began circulating a rumor online claiming that SDCSC had plans to close Dillsboro Elementary School.
"Throughout the evening and this morning, I received several calls from concerned parents and media outlets seeking clarification. I want to be clear — there are no plans to close Dillsboro Elementary School. This rumor is categorically false," said Dr. Ross.
Dr. Ross continued by stating that the rumor appears to have stemmed from communication regarding an upcoming community meeting about the district’s strategic plan — a meeting intentionally designed to invite input and encourage open dialogue about how SDCSC can strengthen their schools.
"Our goal has always been transparency and collaboration. SDCSC is not perfect; like any organization, we have areas where we can grow. That’s why we are focusing on making thoughtful improvements, leading meaningful change, and striving for continuous growth," said Dr. Ross.
