Twelve organizations received funding.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The Rising Sun Regional Foundation (RSRF) awarded a total of $301,349 in new grants in the third quarter of 2024.
These grants included:

● $3,081 to the Dearborn County Clearinghouse for Emergency Aid for food storage equipment;

● $13,000 to the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department for auto extrication stabilization equipment;

● $40,000 to Main Street Versailles for a trail expansion project;
-
● $5,200 to the Milan Lions Club for replacement of banners in the town of Milan;
-
● $38,875 to the Morris Volunteer Fire Department for replacement of a severe weather siren;
-
● $5,500 to the Napoleon Volunteer Fire Department for a portable sound system;

● $40,000 to the Ohio County Highway Department for a Caterpillar track loader;
-
● $7,600 to the Ohio County Historical Society for a furnace for the Whitlock Gallery;
-
● $38,368 to the Rising Sun Ohio County Community School Corporation for a fire alarm system at Rising Sun High School;
-
● $7,930 to the City of Rising Sun for a Navy Bean Fall Festival mascot costume;

● $1,795 to Southeastern Indiana Voices for Children for brochure redesign and community distribution; and,

● $100,000 to Margaret Mary Health Foundation toward its capital campaign for the construction of a new Margaret Mary Hospital
Grant applications for the fourth grants cycle in 2024 are due Tuesday, October 15, 2024 by 4:00 p.m. Applications must be submitted online via the Foundation’s website, www.rsrfonline.org.
