Routine Maintenance Upcoming at Brookville Lake

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District will begin work in mid-November.

(Brookville, Ind.) – Scheduled maintenance at Brookville Lake will start soon.

According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District, maintenance activities at Brookville Lake will start on November 18 and run through mid-December.

During this time, visitors may see construction equipment and crews on site performing routine dam maintenance work, including weekends.

The U.S. Army Corps says the dam is operating as intended and this maintenance is not related to any issues.

The tailwater recreation area will remain open to the public with minimal impact on traffic patterns.

Visitors are encouraged to stay alert and exercise caution in the work areas, as there may be potential hazards such as slips, trips and falls.
