(Versailles, Ind.) - South Ripley Community School Corporation is proud to announce that Superintendent Rob Moorhead has been elected as the 2025-2026 President of the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents (IAPSS).

This prestigious appointment recognizes Moorhead’s exceptional leadership and dedication to the advancement of public education in Indiana.

Prior to his service at South Ripley, he spent the first 25 years of his career at South Dearborn High School as a math teacher, head basketball coach, associate principal, and the final nine years as principal.

“As President of IAPSS, I am honored to represent and work alongside a dedicated group of superintendents who are committed to strengthening public education across Indiana,” said Rob Moorhead. “Our organization allows us to present a unified voice for our schools and students, and to help shape a future where every child has access to an exceptional education.”

“We are proud to have Rob Moorhead leading IAPSS as our President this year,” said Dr. Robert Taylor, Executive Director of IAPSS. “Rob brings a strong track record of leadership, a clear vision for the future, and a deep dedication to public education. His guidance will be instrumental in advancing our mission and strengthening the support we provide to school leaders across Indiana.”

He holds an Educational Specialist's Degree in Educational Leadership from Indiana State University, a Master’s Degree from Xavier University, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Hanover College. His career spans over 38 years in various roles, including spending significant time mentoring principals and superintendents in the early stages of their careers. He is also a Harvard-trained Executive Coach working with fellow leaders in the IAPSS ExCo Program.

Rob’s wife, Lisa, currently serves as the Vice Chancellor for Enrollment and Student Success at Ivy Tech Lawrenceburg and Batesville campuses. The couple has two sons. Their oldest son, Brad, was recently named the new head boys’ basketball coach at South Dearborn High School and resides in Aurora with his wife, Hayley, and eight-month-old son, Miller.
