Road Improvement Project Starts This Week In Florence

Ted Bushelman Boulevard is being widened to five lanes.

(Florence, Ky.) – Work will begin this week on a $2.1 million project to improve Ted Bushelman Boulevard.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the improvement project will take place between Houston Road and Aero Parkway beginning Monday, June 14.

The project will widen KY 3159 to five lanes with curb and gutter and new sidewalks. The project will also add a two-way left-turn lane between Doering Drive and Aero Parkway to improve traffic flow for future development.

Motorists should watch for workers along the roadway performing preliminary work in the work zone. Construction work is expected to begin after July 4.

The project completion date is scheduled for July 2022.
