Rising Sun Regional Foundation Awards $43,000 In Scholarships

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The Rising Sun Regional Foundation announced that it has awarded a total of $43,000 in scholarship grants to 43 graduating seniors who reside in Ohio and Ripley counties and the City of Aurora, the foundation’s southeastern Indiana grantmaking region. Each student has received a $1,000 scholarship award.

Recipients of these RSRF scholarships are:

 

Batesville Community School Corporation

Audrey Amberger, Benjamin Craft, Haylee Harmeyer, Quinten Hylton-Gowdy, Coleman Jennewein, Morgan Kramer, Christopher Laymon, Carly Lents, Audrey Maupin, Madeline Pierson, Justin Puente, Samuel Wade, Angela Weisenbach, and Ana White.

 

Sunman-Dearborn Community School Corporation

Rebecca Dudley.

 

Jac-Cen-Del Community School Corporation

Audrey Adams, Conner Hubbard, Maggie Miller, Garret Mosier, Jodi Muckerheide, and Joel Tunny.

 

Milan Community School Corporation

Victoria Gobel, Annjeanette Laws, Abigail Riehle, Eric Spears,  Alexander Volz, and DeLanie Weber.

 

Oldenburg Academy

Melissa Meneses.

 

Rising Sun/Ohio County Community School Corporation

Christian Fisk, Tiara Harrison, Sam Markland, Caroline Stapleton, Anna Uhlmansiek, and Caleb Valentine.

 

South Dearborn Community School Corporation

Sara Hambrick.

 

South Ripley School Corporation

Samantha Burns, Michaela Diem, Amanda Hansen, Samuel Lohrum, Mackenzie McQueen, Hanna Speer, Heidi Speer, and Cory Welch.

 

All graduating seniors who reside in Ohio and Ripley counties and the City of Aurora, who have maintained a six-semester grade point average of 2.75 or higher, and who plan to attend a post-secondary educational institution, were eligible to apply for these scholarship awards.  Winners of these scholarships were drawn at random from the pool of applications which were submitted to the Rising Sun Regional Foundation with official transcripts.

The Rising Sun Regional Foundation is funded by the Rising Star Casino Resort, owned by Full House Resorts, Inc., which makes monthly contributions to the foundation based on a percentage of its Adjusted Gross Revenue.
