INDIANAPOLIS - Maxwell Bowne is serving as an intern for the Indiana Senate Majority Caucus during the 2023 legislative session, said State Sen. Chip Perfect (R-Lawrenceburg).
Bowne, a resident of Rising Sun, is the son of Jim and Lisa Bowne. He graduated from Rising Sun High School and is a junior at Indiana University studying law and public policy.
"This internship is a great opportunity for college students and recent graduates," Perfect said. "Interns play a huge role during the legislative session, and I'm glad to have Maxwell here at the Statehouse representing our district."
As a legislative intern, Bowne tracks and analyzes bill data, provides constituent services, staffs Senate committee hearings and meetings, and conducts legislative policy research.
“I am glad to be able to assist my state and senators in the legislative process this session,” Bowne said.
Senate Majority interns work through the duration of the legislative session, which is scheduled to end in April.
