The new pathway takes walkers and joggers along a more natural and scenic wood line.

(Osgood, Ind.) - The newest section of trails are now open at the Osgood Trails.
A celebration took place on Thursday as the Ripley County Chamber of Commerce held an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at the trails.
The Town of Osgood was one of five recipients of a Trail Grant from the Indiana DNR back in August of 2023. The town used the $400,000 grant to enhance and expand the 1.25-mile trails.
The new pathway takes walkers and joggers along a more natural and scenic wood line with several designated places to rest.
The Gilmore and Golda Reynolds Foundation played a big role in the trail expansion by providing a 20 percent match ($100,000) for the project.
Trail users are asked to stay on the blacktop as of now due to fresh straw and grass seed on the ground.
