Some work still needs to be done to reach the goal to support the Milan HS band.

(Milan, Ind.) – A recent fundraiser to support the Milan High School band unfortunately fell short of its fundraising goal, but a surprise donor has helped shorten the gap.
Basketing for Music took place on Saturday, October 14 at the Milan American Legion. It was also the site of the Class of 1977 Reunion.
The goal was to raise $5,479.20 to purchase new uniform hats for the Milan High School band.
An anonymous Milan alum that was unable to attend the event donated an unknown amount to bring the fundraising total to $4,700. Another $778 is needed to reach the fundraising goal.
Event organizer Mike Schmidt says the plan to close the remaining gap is to stand on the corner of State Road 350 and 101 with buckets as soon as possible.
“At this time, we will continue to keep the door open for those who wish to donate to our great cause," said Schmidt.
Anyone who would like to donate, may send a check or money order to:
