RCCF Welcomes Summer Intern

This intern will play an active role in strengthening the foundation's work across several key areas.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - The Ripley County Community Foundation is pleased to welcome its newest intern, Delyla Wonnell, for the summer. The Community Foundation’s internship program is designed to engage local young people in the work of community philanthropy, fostering a deeper understanding of charitable giving and inspiring the next generation of lifelong philanthropists.

Delyla is an incoming senior majoring in Public Health with a minor in American Sign Language at Ball State University. With this degree, she hopes to further pursue her passion for helping people through a professional outlet. She chose to intern at the Ripley County Community Foundation to actively strengthen her skills within her community and learn how to better serve others through meaningful, hands-on experience.

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to intern with the Ripley County Community Foundation this summer. This internship is valuable because it encourages me to grow both personally and professionally. I’m eager to learn from the Community Foundation’s work and play a role in helping improve access and opportunities for others.”

During her internship, Delyla will play an active role in strengthening the Foundation’s work across several key areas. She will assist with grant writing efforts, contribute to community-focused programming, and help deepen the Foundation’s organizational capacity to better serve residents across Ripley County. Through these projects, Delyla will gain valuable hands-on experience while supporting the Foundation’s mission. Her commitment to community well-being and accessibility aligns strongly with the Community Foundation’s goals.

“Through our internship program, we seek to engage local young people in the work of the Community Foundation in hopes that they will become lifelong philanthropists,” said Executive

Director Amy Streator. “At the same time, internships provide invaluable opportunities for college students to gain hands-on experience, explore potential career paths, and build meaningful connections within their communities.”
