Railroad Crossings In Aurora Will Be Closed For Construction

Closures will begin as early as next Monday.

(Aurora, Ind.) - Several railroad crossings will be under construction and closed. 

The closures are expected to begin as early as next Monday, June 21. 

The crossings are anticipated to be closed for at least three days once closed. 

The following crossings will be under construction: 

  • Gaff Street 
  • Railroad Avenue 
  • West Fourth Street (crossing near Exporting Street) 
  • Exporting / 2nd Street 
  • George Street; and 
  • Manchester Landing 

Open crossings to use as detour include: 

  • Indiana Avenue, 
  • West Fourth Street (crossing near West Conwell Street), and 
  • Importing Street
