Plans are to replace 40 neighborhood water services that are made up of older galvanized pipes on Probasco Street.
(Greendale, Ind.) – The City of Greendale has provided an update on an upcoming project on Probasco Street.
In January, the City announced they would use an INDOT Community Crossings Grant to help fund a water service replacement project.
Plans are to replace 40 neighborhood water services that are made up of older galvanized pipes on Probasco Street.
City manager Steve Lampert says the project will start on Monday, March 22.
The contractor, Bucher Excavating, is planning to begin on the west end of Probasco between the dead end and Nowlin Avenue.
Work will continue in sections:
- Nowlin to Hayes, then
- Hayes to Ludlow, then
- Ludlow to Sheldon, then
- Sheldon to Ridge.
Road closures for various sections of Probasco will be put in place when needed. Bucher Excavation crews will notify homeowners 24 hours in advance if your driveway will be blocked and when your water service will be disrupted.
The City says they will coordinate with Lawrenceburg Public Schools for any bus route issues.
Anyone with questions or concerns should contact the city manager at 812-537-2125.
