
(Aurora, Ind.) - Over $17,000 has been donated to three local food pantries following the success of the Pre-Turkey 5K.
On Thanksgiving Eve 2024, the Catholic Parishes in Dearborn County hosted the Pre-Turkey 5K in Aurora. Over 250 runners and walkers participated, raising $17,231.
Last week, Pre-Turkey 5K organizers presented checks to St. Vincent de Paul, the Clearinghouse and Dillsboro Food Pantry.
St. Vincent de Paul received $8,231, while the Clearinghouse and Dillsboro Food Pantry each received $4,500 donations. The funding will be used to feed families in need during the holidays.
The Pre-Turkey 5K returns to Aurora on Wednesday, November 26.
