(Hamilton County, Oh.) – Short-term full closures are scheduled this week on Interstate 275 near the Ohio-Indiana state line.
The Ohio Department of Transportation announced today that crews from Duke Energy will be removing aerial power lines on I-275 beginning Friday, August 20.
According to Duke Energy, poles on either side of the interstate suffered significant damage after being struck by lightning.
From approximately 12:01 a.m. to 5:00 a.m., short term closures will be in effect on I-275 east and west at the U.S. 50 overpass, just north of the Ohio-Indiana state line.
Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers throughout the overnight hours.
Motorists should use extra caution when passing through the work zone. To avoid delays, motorists should seek alternative routes.
