Firefighters have been on the scene since around 6:00 this morning.

UPDATE: The City of Carrollton has reported that one person was airlifted from the scene to Louisville. It is believed there are multiple fatalities as result of the fire.
Crews are expected to be on site well into the evening hours.

(Carrollton, Ky.) – Firefighters responded to a structure fire in Carrollton early this morning.
According to Carrollton Police Department, a fire broke out in the 200 block of 5th Street around 6:00.
It is possible that the structure fire could possibly be a multiple fatality fire. However, an approximately three-year-old female was pulled from the structure.
Once the fire is extinguished, investigators will be able to begin their search of the residence.
The Carrollton Police Department is leading the investigation with assistance from the Kentucky State Police Arson investigation unit and the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
