UPDATE: State Road 48 Reopens Near Manchester

UPDATE: State Road 48 has reopened, according to the Dearborn County Sheriff's Office. 

(Manchester, Ind.) - A portion of State Road 48 will be closed for multiple hours due to a utility pole replacement project. 

According to the Dearborn County Sheriff's Office, the work is taking place between County Farm and Platt Road, which is in the area of Manchester Elementary School. 

The work is expected to take four to five hours to complete. Work began around 7:30 this morning.  

According to Duke Energy's Outage Map, approximately 549 customers in the area were without power. Power has since been restored for those customers according to Outage Map - Duke Energy
