Police Standoff Ends in Guilford

(Guilford, Ind.) - A standoff in Guilford has ended, according to the Dearborn County Sheriff's Office. 

The situation started just after 4:00 p.m., causing Main Street to be closed between Yorkridge Road and State Road 1. 

Law enforcement asked residents to stay inside their homes and motorists to avoid the area until the all clear was given. 

The standoff was ended about an hour after it started, and Main Street has reopened. 

No further information has bee provided at this time.
