State Road 156 will close for about a month starting as soon as May 15.

(Switzerland County, Ind.) - Crews will continue pipe and culvert replacement work on S.R. 156 in eastern Switzerland County beginning on or after Wednesday, May 15, weather permitting. This will cause S.R. 156 to close six miles east of S.R. 250, east of Patriot. The road will be closed for approximately 30 days while work is completed.
In addition, S.R. 156 is expected to reopen on or after Tuesday, May 14, 8.5 miles east of S.R. 101, between Florence and Patriot. Work is now complete at that location.
The official state detour for the closure is S.R. 56 and 250.
