Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle in Greendale

(Greendale, Ind.) - Greendale Police responded to a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning. 

The accident took place around 6:01 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Lorey Lane. 

According to Greendale Police, the driver of a Ford Ranger contacted 911 immediately following the collision and was at the scene when officers arrived. 

The pedestrian was transported to University Hospital with serious injuries. 

The accident remains under investigation. 

The names of the individuals involved have not been released.
