(Aurora, Ind.) - South Dearborn Opening Knight and the Overtones continued their competition season at the A-Town Showdown this past Saturday in Anderson, Indiana.
Opening Knight may have been the smallest show choir in the small mixed division, but that didn't stop them from placing first in their division. The Overtones received Best Band. Opening Knight was named a nighttime finalists and place 2nd Runner-Up overall, beating out several large mixed show choirs.
In a separate solo competition, Karleigh Kittle received 2nd Runner Up and Maddy Burress was named Grand Champion.
Maddox Shackelford was named our Outstanding Performer.
Opening Knight will sing the National Anthem this Thursday at the Northern Kentucky University’s Norse Basketball game which will be televised on ESPNU. They will return to competition on February 3 at the Edgewood Contest of Champions near Bloomington.
