One Dead, One In Custody After 'Road Rage' Shooting

The incident happened Thursday night in Elsmere.

(Elsmere, Ky.) – One person is dead after a shooting in northern Kentucky.

A woman was shot and killed after what police describe as a road rage incident at the intersection of Garvey Avenue and Cross Street on Thursday night.

FOX-19 reports that Joseph Witkowicz, 25, was arrested Friday morning in connection to the shooting.

Police say Witkowicz stopped his vehicle after being tailgated by another vehicle and got into an argument with the other driver.

During the argument, Witkowicz allegedly drew a handgun and shot the victim multiple times.

He is currently held in the Kenton County Detention Center.

The shooting remains under investigation.
