(Franklin County, Ind.) - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor GeoStabilization International plans to begin work on a series of slide repair projects located on Old S.R. 1 in Franklin County on or after Monday, September 20.
The roadway will be stabilized in three locations using soil nails and reinforced shotcrete. Old S.R. 1 will close to thru traffic between Graf Road and Goblers Knob Road for up to 10 weeks while work is in progress. Local access will be maintained for residents in the area.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, use extra caution, and drive distraction-free in and near construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
