Ohio County Road Reduced To One Lane Beginning Wednesday

A paving project has been scheduled on State Road 156.

(Ohio County, Ind.) – State Road 156 will be reduced to one lane starting this week.

The Indiana Department of Transportation says paving work will begin on SR 156 between N. Landing Road and State Road 56 in Ohio County starting Wednesday, September 9.

State Road 156 will be reduced to one lane during the project, which is scheduled to by completed by early October.

Motorists are advised to slow down and use extra caution in the are as the driving surface will be stone until paving is complete in three to four weeks.

In addition, State Road 156 remains closed near Branch Road in Switzerland County for a separate slide repair that began earlier this year.
