The grants are funded through the Ohio County Today & Tomorrow Endowment Fund.
(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The Ohio County Community Foundation awarded a total of $44,330 in Community Grants to 11 local non-profits during the second grant cycle of 2025. Each organization could request up to $5,000.
The following grants were funded through Ohio County Today & Tomorrow Endowment Fund, created by the City of Rising Sun and Ohio County, to fund the pressing needs in Ohio County.
- Ohio Co. Tourism has been awarded $5,000 to help provide entertainment for the 2026 Rising Sun Summer Fest.
- Laughery Valley FOP has been awarded $5,000 towards the 2025 Cops & Kids Program.
- Ohio Co. Rescue Service has been awarded $4,800 towards a Computer Aided Dispatch Upgrade Project.
- Rising Sun Ohio Co. Senior Housing has been awarded $5,000 to help fund the Hoosier Boy & Hoosier Girl Gutter Project.
- Rising Sun Volunteer Fire Department has been awarded $5,000 to help with funding for new Thermal Imaging Cameras.
- Southeastern Independent Living Center has been awarded $450 towards funding for new office signage.
- Kids J.A.M. has been awarded $3,900 towards Rising Sun Kids J.A.M. 2026 expenses.
- Rising Sun Main Street has been awarded $2,500 for the purchase of street banners.
- Ohio Co. Historical Society has been awarded $2,680 to purchase office technology equipment.
- Genesis Pathways has been awarded $5,000 to help host the Emerge:Young Innovators Summit.
- Rising Sun Ohio County School Corporation has been awarded $5,000 for the purchase of a new concession stand.
