(Wilmington, Oh.) - The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Heat Advisory for the tri-state area.
The advisory is in effect from 2:00 PM Tuesday until 8:00 PM Thursday.
Heat index values up to 104 are expected for southeast Indiana, northern Kentucky, and southwest Ohio.
The National Weather Service says hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Individuals should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions when outside by wearing lightweight and loose-fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. T
