No Injuries, Significant Damage In Downtown Aurora Fire

(Aurora, Ind.) - A quick response from area firefighters limited damage to an Aurora business.

Aurora Fire responded to Greene Respiratory Service on Third Street on Friday afternoon.just after 3:00. 

Firefighters made entrance through a garage door and located the fire in the basement area. The fire was knocked down quickly and contained to the basement.

The first floor received heavy smoke damage. Overall damage was estimated at around $75,000.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. 

Lawrenceburg and Greendale Fire Department’s assisted at the scene, along with the Aurora Life Squad, the Aurora Police Department and Dearborn County 911 Communication’s.  

Approximately 25 firefighters were on the scene.
